Memories

DarkNoir

I know her smile all too well,

But her frown is the most common

Her eyes that used to shine so bright,

Now dull and hidden behind a mess of hair

She used to feel everything,

But now she's numb

her long, beautiful eyelashes,

Now catch her falling tears

Memory after memory,

She falls apart

The screams of her father,

And the repulsion in her heart

as she stares at a blade,

she thinks to herself,

"Why do I cry,

If all I am is numb?"

The silver object makes her feel,

As does the blood,

Which trickles down,

As she wonders if she'll heal
