Death Deja Vu

Seeker

Could Dali’s dream distortions be amiss?
The shadow Morpheus can assist our mind
become a seraph or a serpent’s hiss
Effects unlike the artist’s best design

No bleeding Christs or melting clocks appear
To argue time’s perceived reversed passing
Scenes shown in lighting with blue fog veneer

My widened eyes observe with fear amassing

My trips to where all reason is refused
are not cartoons but hidden life revealed
I stroll on solid ground oft times amused
at other times aghast in blood congealed

What strangely curious niche is this for dreaming?
A place to don our final, endless gleaming?
