Street lights
An original poem by: me!

Street lights

Street lights are my enimies
They are irrational and don't abide.

During the day they multiply-
And at night, they hoard the sky!
With cosmic Wonderland's
And shooting stars so bright

They come in with their light bulbs,
And steal darkness from the night

They light up roads for driver's.
To keep them safe and so.
But I wish they'd just go out.
The world would be less cold.

And your probably wondering
Do i wish the light bulbs or the- drivers to go?
So to your question I answer,
"does it matter? this is a stupid, B'asic poem, what are dO'ing wiT'H' your life?"...

But if you are still there,
I do have more to say
And I'm gonna keep on going
whether you choose to leave or stay.

Street lights are my enemies
Because they think they're oh so- tough.
Filled with their limits and- regulations
Stopping you from doing stuff.

Stopping you from seeing the world
Through a magic believers eyes.
And stopping you from being alone
To berid the demons inside.

Street lights are my enimies.
But I really shouldn't blame them.
It's not their fault I dread their job.
In reality,
I should blame the government.
It's their fault street lights are alive.
They're the reason I can't have a drunken drive.

So what if I want to die?
Atleast then i can see the sky.

But that will never happen.

  • Comment from author about the poem: This poem is an older one I wrote. There is allot of metaphor in it and exactly takes a bit of thought to puzzle out some of it. I hope you enjoy it though, let me know your opinion on it and how I made you feel! Until next time, -Aems
