If Only

JillianA

I lie around, no care in the world

No energy to do a thing

My heart it aches and my body tired

I’m such an emotional being

I feel lost and my mind wanders

To another place I find

Where happy notions flit around

A more beautiful world in time

Oh I wish in reality this world was real

No cares or troubles to endure

A safer place for us all to be

An idyll so perfect and pure

But my mind plays tricks and drags me back

To a life of pain and despair

A place of loneliness and solitude

Of which I no longer want to be there

If only life we're perfect. What a different face we would wear. One that reflected no sadness nor cares to bear. Loved this!
