The Virtue Of Woman

Friedrich von Schiller

 Next Poem

Man of virtue has need;-into life with boldness he plunges,
Entering with fortune more sure into the hazardous strife;
But to woman one virtue suffices; it is ever shining
Lovingly forth to the heart; so let it shine to the eye!

    What a beautiful poem! Stirs deep thoughts about the differences between men and women. Guess it's true, gals do shine in a way guys can't. The way it speaks about love and virtue in women is truly lovely. Makes you respect and appreciate women a lot more! Just stuck in my mind how beautifully it's penned. Extraordinary!
