On Hold

Wackyheartache4

I'm on hold!

The calls are booked

I'm on hold!

Here, have a look,

It's been thirty seven minutes

And I haven't been helped yet!

The worst experience I've had

Since I buried my last pet!

The mundane music is stuck in my head

Will I even remember what needs to be said?

I'm on hold!

And my attention is dulled

I'm on hold!

It's never-ending, I'm told

What a sad fate I befell

Like watching the paint dry

Have I been sucked into hell?

I can't remember, I can't try

Dial tone!!

The spell is broken, such a relief

I can shave my beard and brush my teeth

But this sweet reprieve isn't true belief

Cause I gotta call them back next week

I'm on hold!

The calls are booked

I'm on hold!

Where are these lousy crooks?
