Clocks and calendars, measuring the illusion of time as we know it. A deep, thought-provoking poem, Cat!

So very true in these days of a \'just give it to me culture\'. So many of the newest generation are not prepared to learn thing for themselves. Saying that though it gives me a wonderful feeling of hope when a youngster does do something to help others.

Reminds me of an old Tom Rush song called, \"Kids These Days\" where in it he sings -
\"Kids these days
Don\'tt like chewin\'
But they
Sure can swallow
Was\'nt that way
In my younger days
Something wrong with
Kids these days.\"

Great write Cat. You nailed it! ; )

Spot on Cat your assessment of \"bad seed \" - this sums up the petulant attitude of far too many today.

The rise of instant gratification is an absolute god send in some ways, but it has also massively contributed to the horrendous attitude of many people. The way things are going I don\'t believe this will change in future generations. Maybe even becoming the norm.

So well written, Cat, and so poignant.
I have no patience with people like that, sorry, getting too old to bother, just walk away, don\'t wanna hear, let them fend for themselves. I guess, \'tough love\' would be the only thing that might work.

Sadly this is becoming true of more and more people, but we have been blessed with the ability to change, all that\'s left is igniting it ourselves.

\"dog(ma) droppings\". Among the other jewels of phrases herein, this one will remain with me. Might even plagiarize by using it at some point, with your permission. Two fascinating poems, worthy of several reads to glean all that they offer. So well done, Cat/eddy!

This time Eddy really must have worked hard. For some reason our poem has some similarities. It is mistical. The poem I published yesterday called Forbidden I used similar language. As always Eddy come up with a jewel. Awesome writing. Very intriguing and profound.

Oh my. Twin Eddy. No did not get it this way. For me Eddy still is half not so dark. He has his bright side only he is afraid of admitting it. I like what he says: on my half life there is no redemption. It says just half of his life. You see, the other half is clear.
