Bravo. We really need to know how to defend ourselves in many situations. We have to show our strength that we have even at a younger age. Even though sad but you made a great poem of it. It is what I call transmuting the pain into beauty. Thanks for sharing.

The right of anger after such cruel abuse comes through every line here Cat - - nothing more frightening could befall a child. A haunt of a read.

Cat, you outdid yourself here. \"softly he dreams her\" and \"his heart pumps her name\" are just incredible choices of words. It is a beautiful word painting!

Reading your poem I picture eddie as a person living in the 16th, 17th century, or somebody like Jack the Ripper, wearing a top hat and gloves, bending over that poor woman, eyes glittering, catching his breath, finding relief in somebody else\'s misery.
Great poem, keep em coming!

My moral compass consists of a law that states, \"Molestation or rape of any kind shall not be tolerated, and is in every way disgusting, revolting, and absolutely wrong.\" If it were up to me, every practitioner of such a thing would be sent straight to the river styx without so much as a dime for safe travel. Good work on getting this out there, and you have my condolences.

Wonderful alliteration on a dark subject that needs to brought into the light. The secretiveness lends shame to survivors, and that shouldn\'t be.

Thanks for sharing and caring CAT. It happens more often than the records show ~ because as you say GIRLS are just not believed ~ Thank GOD that poetry is indeed THERAPEUTIC . I have had late teen Girl Friends who seemed experienced and sometimes they confided they had been \"sexually abused\" by an older Man ~ I am always very very gentle. What Men don\'t seem to realise is that the DAMAGE they inflict on Boys & Girls is permanent. I have worked with the YMCA and as a Student Councillor in Further Education. As you say if an abused Girl marries a really lovely Gentleman (there are still some about !) it can help to heal but never completely. Do you think PEDOPHILES should be CASTRATED or just ELECTROCUTED ? Yours BRIAN (UK)

This abomination is nothing new, unfortunately. It destroyed my two sisters, each in different ways and to different degrees. It affects not only the direct victims, but all the siblings as well, a psychologist told me. I\'m sure it contributed to my childhood trauma, although I have no conscious memory of my childhood. My heart goes out to all who are victims of this heinous abuse.

I could feel entrenched in the pain of this indescribable experience that so many girls have to endure - - shame on society that does not condemn enough these unthinking bestial men. Your alliteration on this darkest of subjects is first rate my friend.
