Beautiful poem. Sharon must be a very special lady. I couldn\'t help but notice Karen Carpenter\'s Marry Christmas Darling. It is my favorite Christmas carol of them all.

A powerful write A.P. - Such a heart-tugging read this piece of raw longing for time to go backwards when Christmas comes round - a pathos-touched ode yet clearly showing that love can still hope.

I enjoyed my visit here today on what is essentially the anniversary of JFK\'s assassination .. and for so many reasons but including each of the numbered following points (not in any order other than how they spring to mind)
1) Each of your eight verses are stacked one on top of the other perfectly from the shifting flow they convey and pleasing aesthetics ..
2) The timing as already indicated couldn\'t be more apt and provides a meaningful testimony to certain facts that should never have happened ..
3) They say that one is never likely to forget what they were doing at the very moment they first heard of JFK\'s assassination .. or for that matter the more recent killing of JWL some forty years ago ..
I certainly remember them both very clearly and what I was doing at the time .. Should anyone be at all interested, I would be happy to respond to any PM\'s that may come my way ..
4) I have stood on the exact x\'s marked in the road on Dealey Plazza that show where bullets fired at JFK by someone hit .. I have also visited the Book Repository and stood behind the Grassy Knoll .. My wife and I both remarked on the peculiar atmosphere in and around those areas .. I felt similarly when I visited Auschwitz ..
5) Whilst I am no conspiracy theorist, I firmly believe there is far more to this whole tragic affair than is presently known ..
6) I hate to think LHO was scapegoated just as I hate the very idea of scapegoating in general ..
7) Your authors note AP more than adequately sums the whole thing up ..
8) and who don\'t like a bloomin good mystery ..
Nice one my friend .......... Neville :)

Why Do I Write?

I am quite sure both scribes n scribblers ask themselves the same question and most probably, time and time again ... I think by nature we are reflectors .. which gives rise to a further why of course ... I am glad I found these words today AP .. in a way, they have proved to be somewhat reassuring ........... Dear friend, for years I listened to The Diane Rehm Show on NPR, until her retirement after 40 years in journalism, in 2016.
She was a wonderful journalist and interviewer, and I still use the coffee mug that has her signature and motto \"Stay Curious\" on it. Wishing you Happy Retirement! Stay Curious my friend, your muse will be right there with you.
