I do believe that there is a force out there that I call god. I used to be a christian and was at one time a Chaplain but since Joyces dementia the christian god did not help her and she had believed and sang gods praises all he long life.
I prayed and prayed for her to this christian god but she only got worse and eventually passed.
At church one day I gave up christianity and it was like a weight had lifted from me.
I know that My Spirit runs through me and will always be with me waiting to join with Joyce\'s Spirit when the time comes -- but not yet.

Telling all that they are sinners and need to beg/pray or whatever for forgiveness is patronising/condescending and shows no respect for the belief of others.
More harm to humanity has been done by christian churches (and other organised religions) than by those who do not believe in a god.
The christian churches have been exposed as corrupt on many levels and guilty of many organisational \'sins\'.
Whereas one may wish to separate supporting any one churches religion from actual belief in god it has to be pointed out that without those churches there would be no teachings about god and therefore no belief in god. So the two cannot really be seperated.
I respect every individuals right to belief or non belief but I will not be arrogantly preached at by insensitive persons who appear to take the bible as if it were written by god and appear totally ignorant of the errors and mistranslations within the king James bible. Christianity has from its earliest days been manipulated by the roman church even so far as deciding which of the gospels should be included into the bible thereby leaving out several worthy gospels simply because they did not conveniently fit into the shape of religious devotion the church wished to engineer.
I could write much much more on these subjects but maybe that will be for another day.
Sadly many may be too timid to comment upon your fine piece because they have been taught to live in fear of god.
