Requiem in Blue

A tragic ending for the protagonist in your work Tamara but a potent reminder that death is looming large for each and every one of us. The time to prepare for a good death is right now, today - only because the time of our death is most certainly, uncertain. Peace my sister.

The video has been pulled from the internet. Something to do with copyright. I bought the DVD on Amazon and there was also the song called \"Aria\" that is sung by two English women. This song was used for the British Airlines commercial. Check it out.

Aria - Make sure it\'s the daily motion video.

Yanni also wrote a song for his mother that was on that DVD titled Felitsa. This video is on the internet and was placed there when his mother died.

Check it out.

Yanni is a great composer.

The Trinity - E= mc^2 (Sonnet)
Gary Edward Geraci said:

“A brain or a computer cannot generate a completely self-transparent act of thinking, because they are restricted in their activities and operations and in their physical structures and laws, including quantum activities, structures, and laws. No amount of complexity of restricted parts will ever be able to generate an unrestricted act of mentation, because in their totality they will always be restricted.” (Ibid). Energy, Mass, and the Speed of Light constant would fall into the above as “restricted parts” - each caused by God.

So you and I can also differ and still be friends. My understanding of the Trinity parallels a position first “intimated by Plato and carried to fruition by Boethius, Augustine, and Aquinas in their treatises on the Trinity. Bernard Lonergan and Karl Rahner articulate it in more contemporary terms and concepts.” Spitzer’s “The Soul’s Upward Yearning: Clues to Our Transcendent Nature from Experience and Reason”: “an uncaused cause must be unrestricted and absolutely simple, then it can be in perfect relationship to itself (like an act of self-consciousness) where THERE IS NO DIFFERENTIATION OF PARTS, but only differences in relationships within its self-reflective act. (Ibid, emphasis in caps is mine).

A wonderful weaving of faith and reason in your sonnet Tamara. Einstein and Father Georges Lemaitre (Big Bang) were friends proving that two people with different cosmologies can still get along!

No, you are mistaken. I never said the universe could be copyrighted.

As well, I never stated what the global churches or governments are doing is correct. I believe that world governments are corrupt.

Yet, having stated all that, I believe in Jesus. He has never steered me wrong and. in truth, He saved me from being mugged one Winter\'s friday night in New York.

I may lose faith in everything associated with this world, but I will never lose faith in Jesus.

Enjoyed very much...I believe in God and that we will be fine as long as we give everything up to him ...Jesus was only ONE person who had his consciousness...there have been THOUSANDS since and there will be THOUSANDS more...especially in this day and ager.. Messiah is a concept...NOT ONE MAN....Great work though...Outback always has comments that are both thought provoking and often HILARIOUS...I love to hear from him when he comments on my work...hich is only HERE AND THERE I wish he would read them all...anyway....take carexxxooo

A fine write Tamara. yet Einstein is suspect to me. \'Great men are not always wise (or correct)\'. He did not truly believe in a personal God or Christianity, though having tons of worldly wisdom. This is how I see it.

Outback, you are correct. That which is given can surely be taken away.

So, to counter that don\'t accept anything from anyone. No gifts. LOL!

\"And at her back are spread two gilded wings:
tranquility to still the raging heart.
I see the ray of hope shine in her face
and in her eyes I see my birth, my death\"

A poignant write Tamara. Thoughtful too, in getting the rhymings.
Similar to Mary anointing Him for burial. Then men helping too, e.g. Nicodemus and Joseph tending to His burial.

This is Beautiful Sister TAMARA : So beautiful it made me cry ! Because as a Child I was raised as a Catholic : I immediately recognised it as the 6th Station of the Cross where Veronica wipes he Brow of Jesus with a cloth and is pushed back by the Roman Soldiers. Because of the poignant Subject of the poem : the Villanelle is an excellent Structure because of the repetition of key lines (1 & 3) in verse One. Each verse gives an insight into the suffering of Our Saviour as he journeyed to his Atoning Crucifixion : AMEN

Why did they nail Him to Calvary\'s Tree
Why tell me why was he there ?
JESUS the Helper : The Healer : the Friend
Why tell me me why should he care ?
All my iniquity on Him was laid
He bore it all to the Tree
JESUS the Price of My Sin fully piad
HE bore the Ransom for ME ~ AMEN

Thanks for caring & sharing

A good write Tamara.
If not so serious a theme, I would have said \'Oohh she\'s a naughty gal; I told her not to go out late at night; she didn\'t listen; she should have gone to bed early and not gone out; now she\'s having a bad-hair day (night)!\' heehee.
Come on Orchi, you\'ve not got the hang of the poem\'s theme! lol.

THANKS TAMARA FOR SHARING A VERY TRAGIC FANTASY ! And yet the sequence you describe reflects in essence the daily experience of many Ladies. I am a CHURCH WORKER and a Student Counselor in College. I hear tales of such experience mainly from Ladies but also Men. Thanks for raising our awareness of LIFE (& DEATH) as it is experienced by many. On a TV Program Tonight some were saying they just wanted the RELEASE of DEATH ! Thanks for caring ~ Yours BRIAN

Whence is this monstrous thing, why & how to treat it...(St Augustine Book VIII Confessions).... a topic dear to my own heart.... Here it would seem, at least in word, you have created a thing of beauty from something all too often feared or misunderstood and correspondingly despised.... anyone would be proud to have these words written for them, I\'m sure..... The way you vividly describe Schizophrenia is nothing short of excellence in this poem. I almost felt like I was there, with Pink Floyd - Brain Damage playing in my head and visions of Ken Keseys - One Flew Over The Cuckoo\'s Nest running through my mind.

Brilliant writing Tamara - Syd
