Great rhymes, noeyrocks, and I thought the boomerang effect in the beginning of the poem and finally highlighted at the end (to signify Karma) was impressive.

Keep posting. :)

So what do you think?

The tide subsides
As I creep in
The ocean waves crash upon my sin
The slashing blink of your dagger eyes
Tear the seas as I fall and rise

The Rocky cliff that is no more
I climb forever to reach the shore
The debris of my sin a cage of rocks
Thousands of years, now dust and shards fly
Phoenix still waiting to sore through the sky

The walls you rebuilt
Quick and strong.
Muffled and policed my endless cry!
You thought you heard a sigh?
Alas you were wrong!

Am I Monster from the deep dark sea?
What is it that I ask if thee?
I ask only that you stop and see
The trees are strong and standing still
It is in your gift to have the will
To see the tempest of desperate love that rose
Lacking the foresight of your endless morose

Unable to foresee the flood of your blood
Through which I seek to reach not trudge
And ask that you forgive my careless love
Which believed we could survive apocalypse
And see a new sun rise from eternal eclipse

I know it isnt quite there... Better get on with work...

What an amazing expression of emotions. I paused before saying anger. It seemed insufficient. It is both more and less than that.

Some strange karma happened as I read.

The puppies knocked over a glass pot in the garden and as I jumped up to their rescue my morning tea spilled all over the table and floor.

I went to the puppies first and then the tea and floor.

I realised as I was reading that I connected to a sense of someone I hurt who could feel such.

I enjoyed your poem, the imagery, I love the power of nature.

But then it left me contemplating the demonised destroyer and wondering of that land and what it is indeed that they seek.

Obviously I am projecting this on to my own personal experience but I feel compelled to write a poem in response.

An answer to the questions posed.

It would be my own catharsis I think.

A need to do more than protect puppies from shards or glass and carpets from tea stains.

Apologies for waffling here...
