GOOD EVENING FRIEND ~ Welcome to MPS ! Thanks for your first poem which is well expressed on an interesting Subject that affects us all ! Our dreams & aspirations ~ compared with the mediocracy and attitude of the real World ! As we go through each Phase of Life ~ the stage gets bigger and we get cut down to (our true ?) size. In the necessary route from Junior School to High School to University (or College) to the World of Work & becomming *Semi-detached Suburban Mister JONES* ~ Our Dreams do shrink ~ We are crushed by meaningless routines & We are destroyed by Poeple who put us down.
Sometimes we relive our Dreams ~ when we dream ~ BUT Morning comes and once again we are emersed in the Reality & Anxiety of the Present ! If all else fails we can take refuge in the simple Eternal Things ~ Like Love ~ Life ~ Family ~ Friends and Local Clubs & Societies and *Make the Real World go away* AMEN We all have our own ways of coping ! I (BRIAN) am 35 and teach in an FE / HE College ! I share this site with my Fiancee who is (31) and a Physiotherapist !
