WHATS LOVE?
Accidental Poet said:

True, love may not always make sense. But it\'s still better than that which is opposite of love. 😊

WHATS LOVE?
L. B. Mek said:

but ain\'t it Brilliant, anyway
what else can gift us so much goodness
yet still, move us to such extremes
(others like hate and fear, have nothing
but pathetic futility, to inflict on our lives)...
a brilliantly intriguing conceptualisation
thanks for sharing, dear poet

That\'s not love Bill, that\'s obsession.

I do hope that whatever you are up to right now you are free of it - it\'s too exhausting.

Good to hear from you - take it easy.

WHATS LOVE?
dusk arising said:

That\'s my kind of life that is, one with no sense at all.

Love is strange, it arrives so powerfully and takes it\'s own time to disappear... dunno where it goes I\'m sure, but what does it leave behind? Apart from the next generation. Aha! is that it. Love is the instinct to continue the species? It worked for me.

As a \"grockle\" who knows Somerset since I began to walk, the amount of times I have seen \"drunken Englanders\" watching their little ones play in a dangerous part of the beach,is ridiculous.I have seen the helicopter rescue guys called out more times than I can count.\"What mud officer\"
And at Burnham On Sea,I was in the town when a \"little one\" was washed into the river Parrot and never seen again.
Enjoy the seaside, but please remember, you (me) are only guests. And respect your surroundings,or face the consequences.

Bill – that lot is a killer but I think if I keep laughing I’ll be allright and there’s no chance of me stopping anytime soon.
Really need a smattering of British culture to understand the subtleties – and luckily for me I still retain some.
That beach? Cornwall? The couple I saw were more like Aussie beaches – brilliant and yellow – I will give you some tips if you want ‘em……..
PS: Kernow? Some kind of environmental authority?

Well, after doing a little research they would find the shot that is near 100% effective. But then, the choice is still up to them. Wise humans with a brain think like you Bill. I myself am 3 months fully vaccinated, no after effects at all.

Hi and welcome, you\'re brave, looking back at what i\'ve written,, there\'s some horrors lying back there! I don\'t consider myself a poet, ( and many others would agree!) I just scribble a few words down that pop into the old grey matter about anything and everything without,I hope, causing offence to anyone. I do my best to keep it up but being the wrong side of 70 it takes a while!! Most of all have fun, that\'s what life should be about.
Have a good day,
Bill

I\'m new to this site and am delighted to have discovered your fearless and down-to-earth approach to poetry, with added humour. The only problem is that you have already addressed the important issues. What\'s left for me? Brilliant writing please keep it up, poetry that is.

NO MORE!
Poetic Dan said:

Wow, the timing is incredible for this as I relived my life today and tired to write (no posted yet) of the affect it had on me.

Give 20p to just go play the machine while he drunk another, all to return home and hide from the drama.

I only wish she had the strength to not take \"it\" back but each time was promises that never stood track, until each one left and she\'s still with the rat!

Never knowing if the call will come, the anger came back.

Ps...truly thanks for inspiring me to write a bit more
Take care my friend

Goldfinch60 said:

Abuse behind closed doors is more prevalent than we realise, I am lucky never to have come across physical abuse but have seen a great deal of mental abuse. At the moment I am trying to help two of my friends deal with it, one is almost back to herself having got rid of her partner, the other can not do anything about it yet but I am there to listen - as I am for all.

Strong words Bill.
