Im a PHYSIO and BRIAN (My Fiance) is a STUDENT COUNSELLOR (17 - 30 year olds) in a College. We are both Church Youth Workers. Consequently we are used to working with & praying for Teens & 20s suffereing from the Stress of 21st C life - its tough out there !
Your opening 21 lines describes vividly what you went through - after your overdose - and that you nearly died. The NURSE who encouraged You was an Angel when she whispered to You *The choice is Yours* ...... *But i believe you dont want this (YOUR LIFE) to end* She gave You HOPE she saved Your LIFE - AMEN.
With the help of your loving Family & Kyle You have pulled through - and were able to go into THERAPY. I am encouraged that you ascribed the MIRACLE of SURVIVAL to GOD and that you have decided that it has given You a real chance to value your LIFE and make something of it - AMEN.
Evidence of your desire to benefit from your own experience is evidenced by the very positive ending to your Sad but Victorious Poem ! We are both praying for your full recovery and to give you the Strength to counsel and help others - who are contemplating SUICIDE for whatever reason. Thanks for being brave enough to share !
