VOICES IN CLENCHED FISTS

Yes, what have our leaders been doing? Police chiefs, judges, legislators, business leaders, party chairs, even press and academia. To me as an older person who has been mocked for dreaming of closing prisons, restorative justice, melting down the rifles, turning armies into peace workers and environmental teams and caretakers of the elderly, never giving up on the gangsters and the misfits and have-nots, redemption and compassion for all, justice in all actions, compromise, love, and shared sacrifice, shared fruits of the earth, those raised fists of the youth speak loudly. Thanks for your moving testimony to this turning point for the world.

Andrew Charles Forrest said:
I cry with you
You are our past and our future
Human suffering repeats
As a poet you have captured the agony of your country
We long for one wolrld one future

Dear L. B. Mek,
It is absolutely emotive. With no hope I\'m sight to the suffering depicted, it is deliberate to capture it in the poem.
Thank you for your appreciation.

an emotive write, though bleak its wrapped tight with a thin veil of hopeful prayer, for an end to the suffering its depicts
