The Aging Flame
L. B. Mek said:

\'My flame bends but no longer dances
Ashamed
It\'s beauty
*Diminished
Dulled\'..
why be Ashamed? knowing
every single person, that\'s ever existed and lived
long enough, has gone through exactly what you\'re going through..
where\'s the shame?
what\'s the failure?
you yourself used that imagery analogy of a flame
and even the brightest flame known to us
The Sun
is dying, waning and already deep into its countdown to extinction..
I say, be Proud - instead
accept your deserved rewards, for surviving life
and getting to this stage
enjoy, your ability to do anything you want to
in this next decade or two you have
to maximise life,
equipped with the wisdom you\'ve accrued and the physical health and cognitive capacity
to take advantage of that wisdom and \'know how;\'
embrace this:
for the opportunity it is!
(thanks for choosing to share,
I personally thought this was such a relatable read)
and please forgive me, if you take offence to anything I said or even the tone I said it in,
I meant no disrespect

The Aging Flame

I have felt this way, much appreciated. Let that flame be a service for love, let it shine without tending it. The sun shines on the good and the bad without doubting itself.
