Holding on to letting go.
L. B. Mek said:

\'Aloof I\'m the mirror, across from myself,
Parallel is an overdue farewell.

Before I depart I want to look myself in the eyes and say, \"thank you, I never loved you\"..
self-inflicting, thoughts
cementing our frowns
and twisted, our anxieties
guilt
festering, as self-hate
only
seldom, do we remember
our crimes
but, when we\'re the only
constant
in a life of endless
disappointment and strife
no wonder
we assume, the problem
must begin with us..
and as a reactionary, denial
of this self-betraying thoughts
we block out
all noise, from within
and thereby
ignore that wisdom
knocking, like an incessant headache
at our minds, door
begging
for us to heed, its foreshadowing
warnings
since it recognises, those traps
of failure
we\'re setting for ourselves
yet again..
(just such a relatable read, dear Poet
and so well written
forgive me, for my overzealous
little poetic reply
I meant no disrespect, in doing so
just got carried away by your
accessibly worded, poetry)
thank you!
