What They Omit

A complex and very personal poem, beautifully written. It is a hard balance on how to deliver information to young people, you want them to fully understand the real world and all it`s flaws, but equally you do not want them to be scared of it, so some choose on the side of caution and omit the bad bits. Hope you have a good festive few days.

A very self reflective poem existential in nature and philisophical but so pertinent. It is not just in youth that this occurs and we are told that ignorance of the law is no excuse. Good write

A valid point in that love is too amorphous a word to define, It means so many different things to so many people in different situations. Love lol the poem

A tribute to the wonderful world of books. No need to feel lonely when you have a book to curl up with. Much enjoyed lines. Thank you.

Books are old friends. A lovely write and tribute to them. I love the way you use the word forgot and how in returning to it again and again you emphasize that you have not.

\"I flit through the despairing library I call a brain\" - this line is amazing. Sometimes the unwritten words are emotions that cannot be described but only experienced, and this poem definitely revoked those feelings of listening to the most perfect songs.

‘the words of an angsty teenager’ made sense to me at the other end of the life cycle. Yes, over the course of a long life I’ve happened across a couple of songs which spoke of what was a truth to me. And let me be argumentative from the start - you are good with words....
I hope you can feel at home at MPS. It is interactive, so do respond to others work and accept responses to your own. Take care.
