What will beyond today
L. B. Mek said:
schedule our alarm\'s mood swings
cushion life with soft hobbies
then a needle bursts our tyre
we\'ve never driven only dreamt
expectation fuelled by imagery
self a paradox between, selfhood
and what society expects
Do we live tomorrow
is Today a past we live
How much of past
is curated by tomorrow\'s, perspective
...
\'Today will lead to future
With those works , I did today !
So, when I know what leads to tomorrow;
Then, I know what will be beyond today .\'
(Brilliant!
that meandering poetic voice
that searching ink
distilling a mindset of impatience
a need to feel some control, in life
lazy in style, yet intensely focused
such a great read
Virginia Wolf would have loved this
I like to think,
thank you for sharing.
love your unique style, dear poet

Lost friendship

My comments on the poem \"Lost friendship” by Sonal Monhyung
There is something sadder that lost friendship. It is that friendship that we make online and we will most probably never meet with the person in person. The day will come when we will stop using the computer and mobile and stop surfing the Internet. Our messages and poems will remain in virtual archives. Perhaps one day those archives will become too heavy and will be shunted to some other place on servers. On one site I have seen a member whose page shows thousands of messages sent and received, and has written hundreds of poems, but only one poem currently appears. There might be a button that says “Show older” That is what happens over time : older messages, older poems, older members…
“Ships that pass in the night and speak each other in passing,
Only a signal shown and a distant voice in the darkness;
So on the ocean of life, we pass and speak one another,
Only a look and a voice, then darkness again and a silence.”
--H. W. Longfellow 1817-1882)
Imagine you are on a ship in the vastness of the ocean. Another ship goes by. You see someone. A smile, a wave of the hand… Soon the ship moves off... You will lose that companion forever…

One\'s nation

I understand you are twelve, so by rights I should leave you alone and let you find out about life in your own time.
Just like to mention that it isn\'t essential that you love your country. you might manage to become a citizen of the world...
