Waiting and watching
sorenbarrett said:

There is a haunting feel of worry, angst and concern in this poem. Those waiting hours where there is nothing to do but think and thoughts do not come only anxiety that there are no thoughts.

There is such a feeling of weight in this poem. As if walking through deep mud. A well imaged and worded piece

Locked away
NinjaGirl said:

So short but so relatable...we have to sit with the chains for so long before we understand them...but it\'s so much pain to have to realize how much time they have taken from us. Hate is truly so painful

Poseidon
sorenbarrett said:

A great name for the poem and wonderful depiction of the oceans rage. The parallel from myth to Bible where the flood was followed with a promise in a rainbow that it would never happen again here the last line promise that the madness could never be shown again. Nicely done

Ancient cloth
sorenbarrett said:

Now I\'m not sure whether this qualifies as a haiku or senryu whether literal or symbolic but a gem it is. It could simply be the literal description of an old royal cloth or symbolizing royalty in the purple and gold it could represent fallen royalty of the past possibly indicating its past majesty or it being outdated. Very nicely done a fave

A most interesting haiku and one must ask is it God, aliens, the weather, our own mood, satellites, big brother and the number of possibilities increases the uncertainty and thereby its presence. Nicely done

I have been to the desert and walked through it and this poem paints its picture well. Loved it. It feels vaguely familiar like a home that has been left for a long time.
