A poem of suspicion, lack of trust and fear a poem of paranoia but then we know that things are out there to get us.

This sings! For that structure and flow alone, a fave. The message is equally worth a fave. Well done, my friend! 🌹👏

Great poem! KTay. Sorry I have been so absent, my friend. Been a rough few weeks for me and my family. Yesterday we lost our 11 1/2 young puppy. I know we did her right, but it is always a hard decision to make. And the beauty, for me, in reading this poem is that it is speaking about cutting out the triviality and finding what is truly meaningful. Reminds me of the scene from The Crow with Brandon Lee, where his character, Eric Draven, is remembering how he used to look at the things his love (Shelly) used to find amusing as being trivial. But following his death he realized that NOTHING is trivial. Profound, as is this poem. A fave for me. 🌹👏

A sense of a inner self confession of all the struggles of the past and regrets, now acknowledging it time to stand up and end the battle, return home back to safety, nicely expressed and written

So well written and composed this poem in metaphor speaks to the soul of many. Graphic in its imagery it calls out of the depths. Lovely

A metronome beats in the heart of this poem as it drags you along to its end. It becomes hypnotic and takes over the will of the reader. Very nicely written

You\'re not unlike a fellow poet I used to know, who loved to give us rather crass but humorous pieces for our indulgence. It was the night he read a most delicious piece, superbly detailed, to the utter and complete destruction of a computer that I had to ask him in conclusion whether it was fact or fiction. The deadly reality was the former. Beautifully rendered with excellent imagery and a haunting poignancy. Thank you for sharing.

In this poem I hear building tension and anxiety over various stressors both internal and external. This leads to an explosion that is about to happen at the end. A great deal of emotion is expressed and strongly felt by the reader. A most powerful write

Powerful analogy in a poem that unfolds its content rapidly. It never lets go, from beginning to end. \"Spiders keep the corners / Of / the attic space No light / Injecting in their poisons / Paralyzing me sometimes\". Loved those lines in particular. Well done, my friend! 👏🌹

Wow, this expresses so much; the pure terror waking up from the nightmares; the agony of night after night of disturbed sleep and the insurmountable exhaustion that follows; the barrage of listed remedies showing the desperation of trying anything and everything; \"screaming out, I cannot breathe again....will I ever sleep in peace again?\" Very moving
