Beautiful expression of a heartbreakingly tragic reality. It almost feels wrong for me to like the poem so much: it makes me feel like I\'m liking the vulnerability of another human being. What a strange thing poetry is. Bravo on the writing!

In this poem is a story of early loss and harsh treatment that combined with the stress of performing adult tasks of caring for younger siblings as a child have left a continued desire for a mother that was never there. A heart wrenching poem of sadness. Well written
