    This is a beautiful book. The language is astounding: no trite metaphors, I was enraptured with the way I fell in love with a tree, and the beautiful love story that is intertwined and described through the life of a fig and it's enmeshment with nature. Cyprus is a beautiful place: and this is a beautiful book.
