"No, the serpent did not
Seduce Eve to the apple.
All that's simply
Corruption of the facts.

Adam ate the apple.
Eve ate Adam.
The serpent ate Eve.
This is the dark intestine.

The serpent, meanwhile,
Sleeps his meal off in Paradise -
Smiling to hear
God's querulous calling."

Just read this poem for homework and seriously not feeling it too much 😅. The way it plays around with biblical events is kinda clever, but overall it just seems a bit too weird for me 😂. And the whole eating and dark intestine thing? Gross 🤮. Not a big fan of dark or surreal stuff. I'd rather read straightforward, romantic stuff, or maybe at least something easier to understand when you're tired from school work 😴. Oh well, guess every poem cant be a gem 💎. Just hoping it doesn't come up in the exam 🙏.
