Thou wouldst be loved?- then let thy heart
From its present pathway part not!
Being everything which now thou art,
Be nothing which thou art not.
So with the world thy gentle ways,
Thy grace, thy more than beauty,
Shall be an endless theme of praise,
And love- a simple duty.

Comments1Just read this poem and wow, I really liked it! It's beautiful how it talks about being true to yourself and people will love you for who you are. I feel like the poem is sayin that its more important to be genuine and kind than trying to be someone you're not. It's always nice to see poems promoting self-acceptance! Just had to share how much I enjoyed it.
