Comments1Stephen Crane's work has always been a bit too dense for my taste, if I'm honest. I remember reading his stuff in high school and not quite "getting" it, you know? Couldn't get into this poem either. Maybe it’s an acquired taste, but I just couldn’t get hooked. Still, different strokes for different folks, I suppose.
