Experience is the Angled Road
Preferred against the Mind
By—Paradox—the Mind itself—
Presuming it to lead

Quite Opposite—How Complicate
The Discipline of Man—
Compelling Him to Choose Himself
His Preappointed Pain—

Wow, totally forgot about this piece till now. Used to read it as a kid. Always thought it was deep. Still gets me thinking, you know? Like, how it says "Compelling Him to Choose Himself His Preappointed Pain—". It's like life's a tough road, with lots of unexpected turns. And the whole choosing your own pain thing hits different. I’m just sitting here with my homework thinking about what that means in my own life. Really takes me back. Good read, D. Makes me feel all philosophical and stuff, lol.
