If this is "fading"
Oh let me immediately "fade"!
If this is "dying"
Bury me, in such a shroud of red!
If this is "sleep,"
On such a night
How proud to shut the eye!
Good Evening, gentle Fellow men!
Peacock presumes to die!

Just read a poem from Emily Dickinson and it's so beautiful! Really makes you think about life and death, doesn't it? Fading, dying, but it's not sad or scary, it's almost peaceful and accepting. Dickinson simply has a way with words I'd never be able to duplicate. Her poems always leave me introspective. Good stuff! 🤔📚💭💕
