Love

What is love?

I have never felt love for anyone who has felt it back

but you make me want to feel what everybody who's been in love talks about

I want to be on your mind because you're always on mine

I know it wouldn't be permanent but I want to feel what its like to be loved by you

I wish I could tell you how I feel but rejection scares me more than anything

If I told you how I felt and you didn't feel the same way my heart would break beyond repair 

you would be the first person I would've made myself vulnerable to 

I can't deal with rejection I have with that a lot in my life 

but it still hurts like it was the first time 

you act like you don't need a girl but I want to be the girl you need

I want to be what makes you smile on your darkest day

I want to be the person you feel safe enough to pour your heart into and I want to feel the same way with you

Sadly,

this won't happen because both of us want to act heartless

but in reality, we just need each other or someone to love us
