Journey

doglover123

I go down a path

a long narrow winding road

that leads to you.

I gaze up to the horrizon and

watch the sun set above that road.

It’s so beautiful

yet terrifying.

Even though I’m scared

I go down the path

hoping to reach you

I open my arms wide for you

but you’re gone

Its no longer a road of hope

and the sunset is over

its gone

and so are you.

I’m now left in the dark cold night

where no stars are shining

because you took all the light.

You were my light

my hope.

All that is left are broken pieces

waiting to be fixed.

like I glass I break

and eventually I shatter.

I now fear you.

You’re the monster that

haunts my dreams at night.

You were the one who

lead me down that road.

You were the one that

took advantage of me.

You were the one who

broke me
