Grinnell, Iowa

Grinnell, Iowa

I traveled many miles

To give my son a hug

He was my special one

So dear and truly loved

Our time spent together

Was great those summer days

Touring ‘round the campus

Where he worked and stayed

At times there was silence

And my mind raced about

Searching way down deep

To let my feelings out

My time In Grinnell

Was a special time

And I was glad I went

To see him doing fine

I truly hated to leave

But I knew he was well

He had created his own space

And was happy I could tell
