Bullseye

Kurt Philip Behm

Nothing brings a conservative and liberal

together…

—like staring down the barrel of a gun

(Villanova Pennsylvania: June, 2016)

Prisoner Of The Light

Lay your feelings out there,

  put them on the line

Send your fear back down to hell

  forever to remind

Evil in submission

  darkness wrapped in fright

Its voice silenced with your words

 —prisoner of the light

(Villanova Pennsylvania: June, 2016)

With Grace Sent

I often walk a mile

  to go just fifteen steps

I often write ten pages

for that line that dries and sets

I often talk a blue streak

  hoping for one special word

And often love beyond my heart

—with grace sent from our Lord

    Kurt,

    Thoughts...
    wonderfully expressed!

    I often speak the loudest
    without saying a word

    “...like a bolt of lightning,
it hit her between the eyes.”

These words of thoughtful intelligence are shining through you soul and now revealing what you feel the need to do. Your poem is honest yet heart warming to know your thinking deep about the situation of the simple things in life. Good writing.
