He Doesn't Realize

He doesn't realize how much I love him,

He doesn't realize how much it hurts me to hear him mention her,

He doesn't realize that he stole my heart,

The weirdest thing about it,

Is that six months ago, he didn't mean anything to me,

He was a stranger,

Then we became friends,

Then best friends,

Then I fell for him,

But now, it doesn't matter,

Because my heart broke into a million pieces when he said "yes",

"Yes" to when I asked him if he liked her,

He doesn't know that it feels like I've been stabbed,

The worst part about it is,

The person who I usually talk to when I feel bad is the reason why I'm feeling bad,

I've been here with him for six months,

And he was never interested in me even though he acted like he was when we first met,

But it only took him knowing the new girl for a week for him to like her,

And he's constantly showing me her pictures,

Constantly telling me about it,

It kills me to hear about it,

But I can't tell him,

I'm too afraid of risking our bond,

Too afraid of hearing him tell me that he doesn't love me that way,

Even though the answer is already clear,

He has me questioning my appearance,

Questioning my looks,

The worst thing a guy could do is pretend to like someone that he doesn't like,

I wish he would've told me from the start,

I wish he would've never acted like he liked me,

I wish he was honest about everything,

He doesn't realize the pain he's putting me through.

Is this what best friends do?
