It has been a while
We’ve drifted, it is true
But don’t you think for a second
That I forgot about you
Staying up until 3am
Nights spent in your car
How can two people so close
End up being so far
I wish I never kissed you
I wish I was okay just being a friend
But my heart just could not bare
I knew the torture had to end
I was aware of what was at stake
Yet still I tried and tried
Even so,
Forever and always
In my heart you may reside

- Comment from author about the poem: It has certainly bee a while since I have written anything.Honestly I think it is because things recently have been good, and I draw most of my inspiration from sadness lol. Regardless, I can always count on poetry to articulate the thoughts in my head that I do not really know how to say.
