Adolescent

chana

It took a lot to heal

A lot to feel

A hand to hold

A disguise to mold

Big smile to fool

The teachers at school

Hands on my chest

Shirt is hanging from my breasts

Reputation still intact

“Biggest slut “

Better hit that

Mom is asking

Friend Is waiting

“ everything is fine “

Innocence is fading

Ease the pain slowly

a shot of novacane before me

“ stay for a while “

Learn to live in denial

Vision impaired

Glossy eyes & messy hair

Hands on my thigh

Lift my head to the light

This is me

The one I’ll be

Misjudged and alone

No future I’ll meet
