My Quarry

everlong

I look into this quarry of nothing

Hoping for a good tale

Only it looked quite stale

But in it I see something

I journeyed this quarry

As the rocks gave me a story

Although it wasnt a two story

I filled up this quarry

It was beautiful like a dime

But no longer can I mine

This good story of mine

Oh how I'd give every dime

This tragedy is me

Drowning in this shallow quarry

A forgotten story

Of what I could've but wouldn't be
