Lovely day, everyone’s enjoying themselves at the park,
Kids playing different games, ones acting like a shark,
But how so quickly that all had stopped,
When the gun went off and the body dropped,
Bang! Bang!
There it goes off once more,
Bang! Bang!
Everyone runs for the nearest door,
Bang! Bang!
Bodies laid across the grass,
Bang! Bang!
Oh so quickly their life has passed,
Bang! Bang!
The air is filled with people screaming and crying,
Bang! Bang!
Floor littered with people dying,
Bang! Bang!
Girl looks at me scared, I don’t understand.
But that’s when I see the gun in my hand.
Bang!

Really well written for some reason It read to me like a thrash metal/screamo style which I ain’t actually much of a heavy metal guy lol the twist at the end amazing and I think very topical with the current school shootings plague America is having it’s almost like the narrator (the reader or your self the writer) is a parent and the gun is in their hand because they are pro guns again don’t know why that analogy has come to me I’m english and not a parent lol
Haha, thank you for enjoying and I suppose the write can be taken from many different perspectives and ways, which is one of the most powerful things in writing. Thank you once more.
No problem thank you for writing it and yes perception is in the eye of the beholder
