Love's Dream

Masking

Giving all I had to her,
even buying exquisite fur.
But it was never enough,
her thoughts to me were just a blur.   to be or not she saw my bluff,
Take it from me, lying doesn't make you tough.
But it was all for that reason,
I took to getting more buff.   Of course it was never the right season,
As if going to date was treason.
All I did was stir the anger,
but it was all within-reason.   In my eyes it's all I could refer,
But she had other men to prefer.   In the end I was in handcuff,
As she gave me her rebuff.   But it was me who was beyond-reason see,
Denying she didn't want me.
