ineluctable,

at the table of your life:

Jesus! you’re in luck!

  • Comment from author about the poem: Reading “Luckless Lucifer Loses That Seat at Your Table” you may wonder if something’s “ineluctable” then what does luck have to do with whether or not Jesus will be sitting at your table? Well....one must correspond first. Boy, looking back in my life, was I lucky to “run with” the actual graces God was hitting me over the head with! One is not forced. One must choose to reject Satan and freely allow Christ to come to sit at his table. If one will do this she indeed is quite lucky! God the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit can now freely reside with her. Contrary to what you might have heard or experienced in the human plane, God does not force Himself on anyone.

A fine write Gary. Yet I'm on a 'hobby-horse' with 'luck', not really believing in it.
Ever since I heard a talk saying 'luck' derives from 'LUCifer'.
Of course, it doesn't apply to names, such as Luke!
Any connection with 'He who sits at the table with the devil should sup with a long spoon?'

Or luck is nothing more than “preparedness meeting opportunity” (the message we would get as we embarked out as door-to-door insurance salesmen- many, many years ago but the ultimate training in how to persevere through the greatest rejection). Thanks for stopping by and leaving me some food for thought!

Thanks Gary. So as I say, I've rather avoided 'luck' like the plague, since hearing that talk!
