dark

Brittany Jo

Sitting in this dark room, regretting every choice

Even in this darkness i can see your smile

Although i’m alone, i can hear your voice

i shiver, it’s been awhile

sitting in this dark room, envisioning memories held so dearly

They’re projected on the wall as i carefully watched

I listen closely and i can hear your laugh so clearly

remembering a relationship so beautifully botched

sitting in this dark room, missing a love so defective

The damage from your words was less than your absence

Broken hearted i remember a man whose heart was not subjective

Cause my mind just goes straight to you when i’m sitting in this blackness
