The Faces of Insomnia

serenity-poetry

It always gets to this time of night,

Where my mind runs away

Or succumbs to fright.

I toss and I turn,

Wish I could sleep,

But reality is

My thoughts are too deep.

It always gets to this time of night

Motivation beckons,

I’m filled with delight.

I toss and I turn,

Don’t want to sleep.

I want to climb mountains

No matter how steep.

Enjoyed it! Insomnia can be a good thing.

Thank you! That's very true, especially when the creative juices start flowing

During my high school years I’d stay up super late watching YouTube videos, just so where I wouldn’t have to close my eyes and let my thoughts speak. Very well done, you’re obviously very talented.

I hear you with that. Thanks very much for your kind words!
