A Journey to Forever and Always

HangingbyaHalo

I will show you forever and always.

I will teach you how to fall so that you can feel the relief when I catch you.

I will show you what real love looks like,

How it can crash and burn and be rebuilt from the ashes.

I will remind you that there is beauty in the broken...

But even more so in helping someone mend and being there to see the masterpiece at the end.

I will help you see that you are such a beautiful masterpiece.

I will prove to you that you can indeed have a lover and a friend,

Because your voice saying the words “it’s not possible” echos in my head like ripples do in water.

I will love you the way frank Sinatra sings “Fly me to the moon”

Like the curves of Marilyn Monroes hips

Like black and white films

Classic love

Love that will never fade.

Love that only gets better with time.

I will show you that every person who has ever held you heart was either really clumsy.

...... or really stupid.

And I promise not to drop it.

Nor will I give anyone else the chance to pick it up.

I promise when I look at you

you will feel that I love you in your bones.

I will show you how to peel back all the layers,

Because I am not sure you have ever truly been naked and I want to be the first to see you bare.

This love does not come with step by step instructions

But I bet we could build a picture book,

Filled with visions of what we have seen, lessons we will learn together and reasons to wake up in the morning.

Every morning,

Forever and always .

Beautiful! A vivid description of Love for the ages. A "journey" as you say, like a river meanders to the ocean, constantly changing direction, finding new pathways. To offer such a love to someone requires great courage, to write of it requires more. You have penned a manifesto. Well done. - Phil A.
