Cleansing Myself Of You

serenity-poetry

I’ll wash away the remnants of you,

The way rain revitalises grass after drought.

I’ll scrub away your residue,

Then bathe in holy water, until I’m free of doubt.

I will be cleansed of your sins,

I’ll smell like roses and cream.

A new phase of my life begins,

A new phase where I can dream.
