Mt. Denali

Mt. Denali

AKA “The Great One”

We saw the summer snow

Around your mountain peaks

With puffy clouds there too

And skies blue to see

Brave ones have climbed

And reached your very top

While others have had to quit

Having given you all they got

We see you so majestic

So far but seeming close

In the rarefied air

With a challenge to approach

We’re thankful for the chance

To see you reaching high

And appreciate the view

Of such a beautiful sight

We named our son Denali

And know that you’ll agree

That the name is good

And inspires him to succeed
