We rose up like the waters deep at sea

We crashed down, overlapping waves drowning each other

We didn't realize the pain until our blood ran thick

And when we were immersed in crimson,

when our skin burned from the fires we started,

We became what we tried to flee from

All from the riptide we got stuck in
