Fireflies

w c

Fireflies

Little firefly in the sky

I see you there again

As you glow your little light

That amazes me within

Children playing in the yard

See you here and there

And know few other things

That appear out of thin air

The moon and stars are very good

And always nice to see

But you firefly are a special one

With a kind of electricity

You must have a battery

That makes your tail light glow

And when night grows too long

Your light no longer shows

When the children go to sleep

They dream of times outside

With you shining there about

The evenings of summertime

Beautiful poem, the title caught my name being as I did a similar one, but between you and me I think yours is a smidge better. Haha.
