Candlewitch

My Midnight

my midnight

oh midnight,
where are you?
I opened the curtains
of purple twilight,
in search of you

now I wait...
trembling at the gate,
fallen to my knees
to catch a glimpse of you.

oh. midnight...
you are a gift born
of the wee small hours
as you set my dreams afire

midnight calls to me
with every little breath
of the open sea
I must confess;
you've stoppered the death in me!

It's midnight, time to put my head on the pillow, and wander in the realm of dreams. Yes, death will have to wait ...
              Nicely done
