Exit

Baylee

These are the times when

your mood doesn't match the weather

or the weather doesn't match your mood

But rarely ever

does happiness exist

when clouds cover the sky

Yet oftentimes

the earth’s star brings its undivided warmth

and your emotions can only relate to

the overcast which masks the sun’s face

These are the times when

the music cannot be loud enough

to distract their tired minds

from your tired eyes

And the long drives are for contemplation;

not destination

These long drives

do not symbolize the importance of the journey,

rather than the destinations;

They symbolize all the possible routes

for which to exit this life.
