Devilish Deeds

Edthepoet

How far have you strayed? From across the tracks?
Your smile gave it away
Now It's to late to take back
Just watch who you show those to and who you aim it at..

There's a certain kind of taste, to our whiskey neat
You have to know when to ice
You have to know when to drink

There's a certain kind of beat, to walking these streets,
You have to know when to bite
You have to know when to speak

Yeah there's a certain kind of hopelessness
That only we understand
No it ain't the kind you get through
By making one last stand
Put down the violin lady
We're not that kind of band

There's a certain kind of Loneliness
That only we can comprehend
No it ain't the type you get through
By holding someones hand
Throw out that melancholy
It ain't that kind of dance

There's a certain kind of beauty
That only we can see
It's a certain kind of Langauge
That only we can speak
You think you see the devil
That's to obvious, even for me
If I know my friend lucifer
As well as I think..
he's hiding in the details
of the words your to scared to speak..
He's waiting in the wings, for you to wanna do, all those devilish deeds to me.

    Nice poem

I don't believe in the devil though.

Earth is hell and Lucifer is the people.

I didn't give my smile away.

Man ripped it from my face

Same time they ripped my beating heart

    Right out my empty chest.
